Claim with DFDS

DFDS operates cross-border ferry services linking the UK with France and the Netherlands, and Scandinavia with northern Europe. EU Regulation 1177/2010 applies to DFDS international crossings within the EU.

Your rights with DFDS

  • 25% compensation for a 1-hour departure delay; 50% for 2 hours, 75% for 3 hours, 100% for 4+ hours.
  • Right to rerouting on the next available DFDS sailing or a full refund if your crossing is cancelled.
  • Assistance with snacks, meals and accommodation during delays of 90+ minutes at the port.
  • Complaints should be filed with DFDS within 2 months of the disrupted sailing.
