  • 25% compensation for a 1-hour departure delay; 50% for 2 hours, 75% for 3 hours, 100% for 4+ hours.
  • Right to rerouting on an alternative P&O sailing or a full refund when your crossing is cancelled.
  • Assistance with refreshments, meals and hotel accommodation during extended port delays.
  • Submit your complaint to P&O Ferries within 2 months of the disrupted journey.

Tips for claiming

  • Your P&O booking reference is in your confirmation email — keep the e-ticket PDF.
  • Dover–Calais is P&O's busiest route; note scheduled vs actual departure from the terminal screen.
  • For Hull–Rotterdam overnight sailings, delays at embarkation also count under EU rules.
